New York Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis

Recipe: New York Cheesecake, from Garlic and Sapphires by Ruth Reichl, and Raspberry Coulis from The Joy of Cooking.

Occasion: BBQ at home with friends, and there were lots of fresh berries at the farmer's market

Notes: The cheesecake recipe includes a sour cream topping, which is why it looks so smooth on top. I think it would be good without the topping too because the cheesecake didn't crack while baking. The cheesecake does get golden spots on top while baking, so if you want it perfectly uniform in color, add the sour cream topping.

How funny both of us have the same books!! So far I like it although some of the chapters are dated from the 90s but still quite interesting though and it also provides several recipes.
