Emeril's Strawberry "Bread"

Recipe: Strawberry "bread" from Emeril Live

Occasion: neighbors' Memorial Day bbq

Notes: The entire recipe was for a strawberry shortcake and it included macerated strawberries and sweetened whipped cream, but I decided to top the cake with almonds and powdered sugar instead. Also, the recipe called for macadamia nuts, but I used almonds in the batter because I didn't realize we had macadamia nuts. It turned out moist on the inside with the almonds giving it a nice crunch (inside and outside), very yummy.
